SAN DIEGO, CA - AUGUST 23, 2006 -- Software developer Gaming Everywhere® announced beta availability of Go Nuts Poker®, the company s first online, multi-player game highlighting its state-of-the-art, browser-based gaming technology. Go Nuts Poker (www.gonutspoker.com) features play money tables, prize tournaments, and fantasy leagues, all accessible without launching an executable file or downloading a plug-in. This unique functionality allows users in both Windows and Mac environments to play poker using the same robust interface, without the compatibility issues experienced with non-browser based online gaming applications.
"To have a site out there that doesn t completely cater to Windows, to the detriment of all other operating systems, is long overdue," said Mitch King, a Mac computer user and entrant in this year s World Series of Poker. "The interface and graphics of Go Nuts Poker are also rich and user-friendly -- even more so than those found on poker sites that have been around much longer."
Go Nuts Poker does not currently offer real money betting. Instead, the site provides options for a free account, which allows access to unlimited table games, or a low-cost subscription membership to the Go Nuts Club, which provides access to prize tournaments and fantasy leagues. Additionally, Go Nuts Poker presents Club members with rewards points, which can be redeemed for Go Nuts Poker branded merchandise and affiliate products. Membership in the Go Nuts Club is $4.95 per month, $9.95 per quarter, or $34.95 per year.
"I couldn t believe the flatness of existing poker interfaces and how insecure most cash poker sites really are," explained Gaming Everywhere s President & CEO Marc Alringer, who founded the company with the goal of creating a better gaming environment for both content providers and users alike. "We are offering our gaming environment to all the skins out there who care about the quality of their product, the privacy of their members, and the depth and breadth of their revenue streams."
In addition to multi-player poker, Gaming Everywhere will be adding bingo and pool to the arsenal of games offered to its Go Nuts Club members. The company is also developing a mobile version of its poker application, which will operate on any Java-enabled handheld device and will be available in early 2007.
About Gaming Everywhere, LLC Gaming Everywhere, LLC was founded in late 2005 to address the growing market for multi-player gaming on the internet. Most online games are provided in the form of an application that requires users to either download an executable file or a plug-in to run. Browser-based games enable users to play within the browser context; there are NO downloads and NO plug-ins required. The net result is superior performance, a better user experience, more flexibility, and no hassles or potentially harmful side effects — such as uninvited spyware causing system crashes or incompatible hardware and software causing portability issues.
