Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB via PR Web Direct) July 18, 2006 -- Team Full Tilt members Andy Bloch and Phil Ivey proved again why they are two of the best all-around players in poker, finishing second and third respectively in the World Series of Poker's prestigious $50,000 HORSE tournament.
Bloch and eventual tournament winner Chip Reese played heads up for more than seven hours before the marathon battle ended when Bloch's inside-straight draw failed to connect in the tournament's final hand. Bloch collected $1,029,600 for his incredible performance at his second final table of the 2006 WSOP.
Fellow Team Full Tilt member Phil Ivey also made his second final table of the WSOP, and earned $617,760 for his third-place finish.
With seats in this tournament costing $50,000 each, the WSOP's HORSE tournament attracted 143 of the world's best players competing for one of the WSOP's most coveted titles. Unlike the $10,000 Main Event which features more than 8,000 professionals and amateurs playing No-Limit Texas Hold ‘em, the HORSE tournament is almost strictly a professional event, with players having to be proficient at a variety of poker games, including Hold ‘em, Omaha 8/Better, Razz, Seven-Card Stud, and Seven Card Stud 8/Better.
