Getminted releases single player poker game

15 May 2006

(PRWEB) May 13, 2006 -- This week, Getminted launched it's response to the online Poker boom. In a move that surprised industry insiders Getminted has converted the hugely popular P2P Poker format into a single player game against the house.

The move is to give players more choice when it comes to seriously high stake games "I have purposely been aggressive with the table limits on this to attract no limit players who can't find a big enough game on our poker network" said Stuert Millar Casino Manager.

The game format has two dumb house bots which gives the feel of multiplayer poker. As the action is against the house high stake limits are available. Its a real chance for players to hit the house for six as the house edge is non existent for those poker players who play the game perfectly.

Stuert Millar casino manager for - www.Getminted.com - was delighted by the already huge intake of players the game has received. «We knew that we had to have a game that offered more to our players than let's say Caribbean Stud Poker. The online Casino World has been crying out for a game that can fill the void created by players that have migrated to Poker. We knew we had a hit but if this trend continues, perhaps it will be a knock-out blow for sites that merely concentrate on Poker.» And when Mr Millar talks you're sure to listen as the modest 45 year-old readily admits that his resume in this infant industry stands out like ‘a ginger cat in a dark ally'.

What has made Getminted turn to a single-player hold ‘em game for help? Profits are booming and sign-ups are at an all-time high. Mr. Millar says that once the game's development was under way, the excitement of all surrounding its creation generated positive profitable predictions.

«From the outset, this game had all the assets – fast game play, a more than generous pay-out ratio and an appeal not just to the Poker pro, but also to the novice. It is the perfect game to practice or hone your skills. Even I now find it hard to even look at a video poker screen.»

Alongside Texas Hold ‘em Shoot-out, Getminted Casino released 3 other new games they hope will augment their grip on the UK gaming market.

21+3, a hybrid of Blackjack and 3 card Poker, has sneaked into the website's top ten most popular games while another fusion, Blackjack with Roulette Hot Streak Bonus, has made steady up-roads in it's pursuit to become Getminted's most popular Roulette game.

However, it is perhaps Getminted Casino's first UK Slot Machine; Spin and Win Fruity that is fighting Texas Hold ‘em Shoot-out for the crown of most popular new game.

Spin and Win Fruity has all the common attributes of a pub fruit machine but with the added bonus of not having to stand beside a slobbering would-be thespian to win the jackpot.

«It's a winner. Pure and simple. Our members have been on their knees begging for a UK Slots game and we're proud to thrust this monster in front of them.» Was the assessment of Spencer Davis, Getminted's Slots Consultant.

However, when we posed the question as to whether it paled in significance when compared with the revolutionary Texas Hold ‘em Shootout, Davis was diplomatic; «You can never compare the two. Spin & Win appeals to those seeking a realistic version of the pub Fruity while Shoot-out gives something that you can't get anywhere offline – a single player poker game. They are different products but I'm sure both will deliver what the player wants.»

It will be interesting to see how Getminted's competitors react to the news of their latest advancement. Already there has been talk that many other sites will follow suit and try to locate less conservative table games. However, for now, Getminted Casino can afford to avoid a direct shoot-out with their rivals and should easily hold ‘em at bay.
