BINGO BEATS NZ SESSION2006

DJ ZINC (BINGO / TRUE PLAYAZ -- UK) + MC VERSE (CRUNCH -- UK)

FRI 21ST APRIL -- SANDWICHES -- WGTN

Yes NewZealand it is time once again to welcome back the originalTrue Player, Bingo Beats boss and one of the top dnb DJ sin the World, DJ Zinc! Expect nothing short of an eveningof jaw dropping turntable antics and the hottest andfreshest dubplates.

Zinc has been at the forefront of thedrum and bass movement since the early 90 s. It wasalongside DJ Hype and Pascal as part of the True Playazcollective Zinc really made his mark in the mid-90's. Trackssuch as 'Super Sharp Shooter and 'Six Million Ways to Die meant Zinc and anything bearing the True Playaz logo was inhot demand. From there he was a regular at all the bignights in London, holding residencies at top clubs The End,Fabric and Ministry of Sound. A position he still maintainstoday as one of the most popular dj s in London and aroundthe world.

His debut artist album 'Faster released in2003 showed a more wide screen vision of Zinc s musicaldirection. It moved from downbeat to upbeat with ease, experimenting with many different tempos and not just theusual jump up dance floor destroyers he is renowned for. Inthe time since then Zinc has moved away from his TruePlayaz roots and focused on establishing Bingo Beats as oneof the top labels to watch. 2006 has seen Bingo step it upa notch with the release of its first artist LP, thesublime sounds of Jenna G with her 'For Lost Friends project. The album has already delivered a couple oftimeless club anthems. Following this is another release inthe hugely popular 'Bingo Sessions mix CD series that hasfeatured Dj Marky, Dj Zinc and Dj Friction. This time puttogether by fast rising star s Chase and Status, who havehad big hits on Bingo with 'Loves Theme and 'The DruidsEP .

One things for certain Zinc has never rested on hislaurels and you can be assured drum and bass most valuableplayer will deliver yet another blinding performance forthe NZ crew.

Zinc will be joined by MC Verse whose smoothlyrical flow will raise the vibe and add another element toZinc s performance. Recently down under for the Phat 06 NYEcelebrations where he smashed it with Pendulum. Verse hasalso been making waves with his Crunch label, featuring collaborations with Dkay, D Bridge, Bad Company, Keaton andSP MC. Look out for his killer collab 'Choke with Noisiaand Mayhem due out soon on Vision Recordings.
