The giant Dick Smith Electronics PowerHouse store inHamilton is hosting a night of Xbox gaming leading up to thenew Xbox 360 hitting the shelves just after midnight(Thursday morning).


Store manager Murray Goldsworthy saidthat pre-orders were pouring in.


"It s overwhelming," hesaid.


"As well as having fantastic graphics and advanced,dramatic gaming, Xbox 360 is a full entertainment system,allowing you to amplify music, photos, video and television,and to stream digital media on to your MP3 player, digitalcamera and personal computer."


Xbox 360 sold out withinhours of going on sale in the United States last November,with some packages being resold on the internet for up to$US2500.
