Today, the Global Gaming League (GGL), leaders in online competitive video game tournaments, announced it has reached a major milestone in the emerging "V-Sports" category, having paid out over a half million dollars to prize winners. And, by the end of this year, GGL will have awarded over $750,000 dollars in cash and prizes for achievement in video game play through its growing number of online videogame contests. This money represents the largest sum ever awarded for competitive online video game tournaments.

GGL hosts over 750,000 matches each year including the long-running and prestigious Eurocup and Americup competitions, which take place this year in New York City on March 24-26. This enormous Trans-Atlantic showdown will give away over $100,000 in cash and prizes alone. This competition, along with their other main events continues to bring GGL into the spotlight as a pioneer in their field.
