Rox Announce 2006 Promotions

The Brockton Rox announced their 2006 Promotions Calendar this afternoon. The team has added several new weekly promotions to the already popular Friday Fireworks and Sunday Family Fun Day traditions. Highlights of the schedule also include bobblehead giveaways and exciting guest entertainers.
The Rox open their 5th Anniversary Season on Thursday, May 25th against the New Haven Cutters. Sovereign Bank presents the Opening Night festivities, which include Magnet Schedules (first 5,000 fans) and Rockin' Ray & Skyy Dogs USA, a world-renowned act which has toured the NFL and NBA.
Saturday, June 24th brings the Brockton debut of Anna Jack, the incredible hula hoop artist and acrobat featured every Monday Night on The Late Show with David Letterman.
Saturday July 22nd, Brockton Hospital presents Bill Murray Bobble Head Doll Night, with figurines of the actor (and Rox part owner) for the first 1,000 fans of all ages.
On Saturday, August 19th, the first 1,000 fans will receive a limited edition Saul Bustos Bobble Head Doll. Bustos was a perennial Rox All-Star and fan favorite from 2002-2005 before retiring last summer.
Every Tuesday at Campanelli Stadium will be a "Fat Tuesday". Fans can buy a game ticket plus an all-you-can-eat pre-game BBQ for only $20. This special offer is limited to 300 tickets per game, which must be purchased at least 48 hours in advance. Tuesday, August 1st will be the lone exception. The Rox picnic area will host the Night Out Against Crime, presented by the Partnership For a Safer Community.
Every Wednesday Night will feature Baseball Bingo, presented by Carousel Family Fun Centers. Fans can use hits, strikeouts, steals and other game stats to take part in a stadium-wide game of Bingo.
Naragansett Lager will present "Thirsty Thursdays" all summer long. Fans visiting the Rox Beer Garden on Thursdays can choose from a variety of beers of the world, including a $2.00 16 oz. Narragansett draft.
The Rox most popular promotion, Friday Night Fireworks, will return for all seven Friday home games in 2006. The Rox averaged 5,198 fans in 4,750-seat Campanelli Stadium for seven fireworks dates in 2005.
Sunday Family Fun Days are back in 2006. Families can play catch on the field before the game, enjoy free pony rides, face painting and balloon twisters, and run the bases after the game. The Rox team will also stay on the field for a post-game autograph session following every Sunday game.
